Requirements for admission to Certificate and Diploma Programs

  1. International Application Form
  2. An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  3. English Proficiency requirements for programs with English Level COMM 160/161 are as follows:TOEFL (paper-based): 550+
    • TOEFL (computer-based): 80+ (with no test below 20)
    • CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Overall band score of 60
    • IELTS (Academic): 6.0+ (with no single test score below 5.5)
    • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 51+
    • ITEP (International Test of English Proficiency): 3.7+

Requirements for admission to Degree and Diploma Programs

  1. International Application Form
  2. An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  3. Include transcripts for any post-secondary College/University courses or programs completed.
  4. English Proficiency requirements for programs with English Level COMM 170/171 are as follows:
    • TOEFL (paper-based): 560+
    • TOEFL (computer-based): 84+ (with no test below 21)
    • CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Overall band score of 60 and Writing 60
    • IELTS (Academic): 6.5+ (with no single test score below 6.0)
    • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 58+
    • ITEP (International Test of English Proficiency): 3.9+

Requirements for admission to Graduate Programs (Fast-Track Diploma, Post-Graduate Diploma and Ontario Graduate Certificate Programs)

  1. International Application Form
  2. University degree or a three-year college diploma from a recognized institution
  3. English Proficiency requirements are as follows:
    • TOEFL (paper-based): 580+
    • TOEFL (computer-based): 88+ (with no test below 22)
    • CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment): Overall band score of 70 and Writing 60
    • IELTS (Academic): 6.5+ (with no single test score below 6.0***)
    • Pearson Test of English (Academic): 60+
    • ITEP (International Test of English Proficiency): 4.1+

Required Documents

  • If you are applying to a fast-track or post-graduate program: college or university transcripts and a diploma or degree certificate are required.
  • For post-secondary programs: High school transcripts and diplomas are required.
  • Academic English Proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, ITEP, CAEL, Pearson Test of English). Unless otherwise stated on a program’s webpage, English proficiency can be demonstrated by successfully completing two or more consecutive full years at a recognized secondary or post-secondary education institution in a school where English is the primary language of instruction and communication.
  • Please review the admissions requirements for your program on the online program outline; a portfolio, letter of interest, resume, or online program information session may be required for your program.
  • The last four digits of your passport number and city of birth.

Application deadlines

Applicants are encouraged to apply early. Allow approximately four to six months before your expected start date to allow sufficient time for admission and Study Permit/Visa processing. However, applications received closer to the start date will be considered if there is space available in the program. Centennial offers three intakes each year:

  • Winter Programs begin: January
  • Summer Programs begin: May
  • Fall Programs begin: September

Some applicants may be required to take an admissions assessment (test) or take part in a Program Admissions Session, depending on the program.

International Tuition Fees Overview for 2023/2024

Centennial College is committed to providing world-class education at competitive rates. The following costs are based on the average tuition for two semesters in 2023/2024 for a program at Centennial. All fees are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD). The amounts provided include various ancillary fees, ranging from health and wellness services to cutting-edge technological resources and comprehensive academic support.

Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Graduate Certificate Programs:

  • Most programs cost a total of $17,748 in the first year.
  • For programs in the School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science (SETAS), the total fees are slightly higher at $18,826.

Degree Programs:

  • Our Bachelor’s Degree programs are $22,090 for the first year.
